Every year, many companies or sports teams decide to redesign their logo, and 2022 is no exception. However, this year there seems to have been fewer redesigns or big changes regarding branding than in previous years. The FreeLogoDesign team, as in previous years, has therefore decided to make you a small list of the best new logos of 2022 in case you haven't noticed them.
Last year, when we discussed the new logos for 2021, the Montreal soccer team was on the list with a logo redesign that was far from unanimously liked among fans. A year later, the Canadian team returned with a new logo that better respected the club's history and brand image. The colors and the shield that were used in the past were back in the new logo that this time pleased the fans. Hoping this time is the right one!
Another sports team that decided to make changes to their logo in 2022: the Philadelphia Eagles. We have already talked about this American football team in our article on the use of the color green. It was not the color of the team's brand that changed, but the font. The old font had a 3D look that was very popular in the 2000s. For this redesign, everything was simplified by a thicker font in 2D. However, the icon remains the same.
One of the biggest logo changes we were lucky enough to see in 2022 was most definitely the redesign of Hootsuite. For 8 years, the company specializing in social media management has used their small black owl silhouette icon. It was therefore a surprise when the company introduced a new logo. They still had a logo with an owl, but they used new colors like red, green, and blue. Only the bird's head was used and had a more cartoony look than the previous version.
Not all logo redesigns are noticed. Did you know that confectionery brand M&M’s made changes to their logo in 2022? No big changes though. First, instead of the brand name being on a slant, it was set perfectly horizontal. Then, the brown in the logo was modified slightly. Sometimes you just have to change a few details to update your logo.
In the restaurant world, Burger King wasn’t the only restaurant that was inspired by their logos of yesteryear during their redesign. In 2022, the ice cream specialty shop Baskin Robbins unveiled a new logo inspired by their first logo. The colors changed from the combination of pink and blue to pink and brown, perhaps giving a more traditional feel to the company's look. However, it is important to mention that the 31, the number of different types of ice creams, still appears in this new logo.
